What kind of critique do I need?

At WFWA, we’re all about writers helping writers. Because we want you to succeed, we offer several options to help you improve your prose and advance your career. Based on your needs, you can find the right fit from options below.

If you're looking for...

Feedback on 50 or 100 pages of prose

Feedback on your whole manuscript

Feedback on a query, logline or synopsis

...then join our WFWA Critique Forum Facebook Page. This is a members-only group where you can connect with other writers to request feedback on your logline, query letter or synopsis, as well as find other members willing to swap one-time 50 or 100 page critiques with you – or even trade a beta read of your whole manuscript. (If you aren’t yet a member of that Facebook group, ask to join. Approval is automatic for WFWA members.)

If you're looking for...

An ongoing critique group

...we offer a CRITIQUE GROUP MATCHING SERVICE and do our best to place writers with similar interests into groups. Four members are matched into their own mini-tribe where they make an ongoing commitment to critique their women’s fiction writing for each other. To get started, just fill out the Critique Group Matching Survey. You’ll then be contacted by the Critique Group Coordinator to start the process.

In addition, throughout the year, WFWA offers craft workshops and programs (additional fee may apply) where members learn from leading experts and can submit their prose for feedback from instructors and classmates.

Feel free to contact the WFWA Critique Program Coordinator at any time with your questions. We’re writers helping writers, and we’re here for you.
